Apple has announced a new repair extension program to address issues with the case bottom rubber surface becoming delaminated on some MacBook Unibody models.
“Apple has determined that under certain circumstances the rubber surface on some MacBooks may separate from the bottom case of the system. MacBooks shipped between October 2009 and April 2011 may experience this issue.”
Here is an example of the MacBook Unibody rubber case bottom delamination.
The program covers any affected MacBook Unibody for two years from the original date of purchase. Keane can replace the bottom case at no charge for any MacBook Unibody that qualifies under the program.
