Apple released Final Cut Pro X v10.0.3, a significant update that introduces:
- Multicam editing that automatically syncs up to 64 angles of video and photos
- Advanced chroma keying for handling complex adjustments right in the app
- Enhanced XML interchange for developers to build apps and plug-ins as part of the Final Cut Pro X ecosystem
Final Cut Pro X v10.0.3 also includes a broadcast monitoring beta that supports both Thunderbolt devices and PCIe cards.

Keane's Berkeley Mac repair shop will be closed for the academic winter break from December 17 through January 8. Any customers with Apple repair or consulting needs during this time can contact our San Francisco location at 415-835-9800.
Keane's Berkeley shop will reopen on January 9 with reduced hours of 10am-2pm for the week. On January 16, our new regular hours of 10am-4pm Monday Friday will resume.

Steve Jobs, the visionary co-founder and former CEO of Apple, has passed away. He was 56.
As stated on the Apple website:
Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
Steve had resigned from his position as CEO in August 2011. He received a liver transplant for pancreatic cancer in 2009.
Steve is survived by his wife Laurene and his four children.
